For Parents & Students
1. How do I request a tutor?
You can simply contact us via call or WhatsApp at 89911337 and share your requirements (subject, level, schedule, location, tutor gender preference if any, part-time, full-time or current/ex MOE teacher).
2. Is there any registration fee?
No, there are no fees administrative fees or commission. You only pay for lessons. This is payable after 2 weeks of lessons (assuming it is once a week).
3. How long does it take to find a tutor?
We usually provide suitable tutor profiles within a short time, depending on your requirements and availability.
4. What if a tutor is not suitable?
No worries. If you feel the tutor is not a good fit, you can request a replacement tutor with no extra charge. You only pay for the lessons that have been completed.
5. Are there any contracts?
There are no long-term contracts or obligations. You are free to stop anytime.
6. How are tuition fees determined?
Fees depend on:
- Tutor’s qualifications and experience
- Subject and level
- Demand and availability
We will quote the rate before you confirm.
7. Whom do I pay the tuition fees to?
- The first two weeks’ fees are payable to the agency.
- From the third week onwards, payment is made directly to the tutor.
8. Where will lessons be conducted?
Lessons are usually held at your home. Online lessons can also be arranged if preferred.
9. Can I change the lesson schedule?
Yes, this can be arranged directly with the tutor. We recommend keeping a fixed schedule.
10. Do you guarantee improvement in results?
While we match you with capable tutors, improvement depends on the student’s effort, consistency, and support at home.
For Tutors
11. How do I register as a tutor?
You can contact us at 89911337 and provide us with a brief resume, telling us your teaching subjects, qualifications, age, gender and availability.
12. Do I need prior teaching experience?
Experience is preferred, but not always required. Strong academic results and good teaching attitude are important.
13. How does the commission work?
A one-time commission (50% of the first month’s fees) is charged for each successful assignment.
14. When will I receive payment?
- Payment for 50% of the first month’s fees are collected by the agency.
- Thereafter, you will be paid directly by the client.
15. Can I choose which assignments to accept?
Yes. You are free to accept or reject assignments based on your preferences.
16. What if I need to stop an assignment?
We encourage tutors to commit for at least one month. If you need to stop early, please inform us in advance.
General Questions
17. Do you verify tutor qualifications?
We require tutors to provide accurate information. Parents are advised to verify certificates during the first lesson.
18. What happens if there is a dispute?
We can assist with communication, but we do not act as a legal mediator between tutors and clients.
19. What is expected of tutors?
Tutors should be prepared for lessons and to plan ahead. The bulk of the time spent during tuition should be teaching and correcting of work. For example, students should not spend the time writing compositions during tuition. This should be done as homework. Tutors should be respectful and courteous. Students’ questions should be taken seriously and not be belittled.
